Travel to Azerbaijan
Travel to Azerbaijan with your pets
The regulations for entering Azerbaijan with a pet are less strict than for most European countries. Azerbaijan regulations do not distinguish between rabies free, rabies controlled and rabies present countries.
It is not mandatory for your pet to be identifiable by microchip. However, it is strongly advised to have your pet microchipped, in case it will ever get lost. You will need the following for entering Azerbaijan with your pet:
Proof of rabies vaccination: The pet must be vaccinated against rabies at least 30 days prior to arrival in Azerbaijan. This must be documented in a vaccination certificate or pet passport.
Veterinary certificate: The Veterinary Certificate should state that the pet is healthy, free of parasites and diseases communicable to humans. The certificate should be signed by a certified veterinarian and not be older than 10 days on the day of arrival.
